Victorian Village Tour of Homes

Sunday, September 17th, 2006 from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Tickets are available at these Short North Businesses including Urban Gardener at 940 North High Street and Spinelli’s Deli, 797 Neil Avenue in the Thurber Shopping Center at the presale price of $10.00. Tickets can be purchased the day of the tour for $15.00 in front of Spinelli’s Deli. Tickets will go on sale the week of September 1st. Bus transportation will be provided the day of the tour for the tour route.

Short North Business Association
Sunday, September 17th, 2006 From 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM featuring a variety of shop owners showcasing home and arts displays, educational seminars and practical applications for home improvement. In addition, a number of short north restaurants will be offering special promotions to ticket holders on the day of the Tour.

Saturday, September 16th, 2006 from 4:00 PM – 11:00 PM

Many of the main Tour houses will be open for this special preview evening event as well as a number of private homes hosting in-home Dinners & Desserts. This year’s dinner theme is “An International A’Fare.” In addition there will be a Preview party held at one of Victorian Village’s more prominent homes. CAPAcity Celebrates!

Please stop by on August 16 for a celebration of CAPACITY’s wonderful accomplishments over the past five years and to help cultivate exciting new youth arts programs at Central Community House (CCH). Start your holiday shopping very early this year and support a great cause as you pick up fabulous art, organic produce, collector’s items (CAPACITY t-shirts & greeting cards) and more. Bring the family and join in a mask-making workshop, drum circle, Open Mic and other FREE activities for all ages. Donations for refreshments will be gratefully accepted. Proceeds from the Arts Market and Farmers’ Market sales will benefit youth arts at CCH.

All activities will be held in the Central Community House parking lot (unless Mother Nature decides to send us indoors).

Chris Mohler Sculpture Studio

Opening: August 18, 5-9pm

Sculptor Chris Mohler sent us an invitation to a studio opening. Chris creates rather large, monumental pieces from welded steel. Several of his works dot the Columbus landscape and many are included in private collections. Check out his new works and new space.
