PB&Jazz at the Columbus Music hall, or Grampa takes Cordi to a jazz concert

On this day, we were treated to Bobby Floyd on the B3 organ, Chad Ebey on sax, Derek Dicenzo on guitar, and Mary McClendon singing.

Children as young as one year-old and up (like Cordi) just have a ball. Parents or grandparents who bring them, are mostly all jazz lovers themselves. They feel gratified seeing their kids having such fun, knowing that they'll grow up jazz enthusiasts. The artform will stay alive as it passes on to new generations.

At the end of the concert, Bobby Floyd, surrounded by eager teen volunteers jazz students who all play an instrument, gives an impromptu demonstartion and workshop on the Hammond B3 organ. Bobby is Columbus' best known keyboard artist and he can wail on that organ.

Chad Ebey blows his horn and Derek DiCenzo strums matching licks on his guitar.

Cordi is inspired to beat the drum.

Becky encourages the kids to let loose and feel the joy of jazz.

Grampa feeds Cordi a pb and j sandwich. We have so much fun together!

See ya at the next PB&J on Saturday April 1.
