BoMA GALLERY welcomes Magnum photographer Dennis Stock for its inaugural Artists Reception
BoMa Gallery
opens Saturday November 11, 7-9pm
583 East Broad Street
Columbus, Ohio 43215
614 233-3000
The Bar of Modern Art Gallery is the entire new complex known as BoMA, a new, hip, exciting, artsy and generally cool nightclub/restaurant/bar across the street from the Columbus Museum of Art. The opening runs from 7 to 9 pm and the community is invited. Chad Tooker, gallery director and curator, recently gave us a tour - see pics.
Dozens of artists, local and international, have works on exhibit throughout the building that once was a major Baptist church and has now been renovated and preserved with painstaking care to history and detail.
Dennis Stock is a current featured photographer well known for images of the late actor James Dean, many of them have become legendary icons. All other participating artists, including Stock plan to attend the opening and meet and greet all visitors. Expect to run into or meet: Drew Ernst, Walter King, Pamela Theodotou, Michael Garcia, Bradley Strout, Steven Fisher, Dawson Kellogg, Jacob Stout, Anthony Gelpi, Chris Mohler, Eric Schickel, Molly Burke, Rebecca Bailen & Curtis Elliot Studios, and John Loechler.
